What is the solar streetlights?

Solar street lights are powered by crystalline silicon solar cells and utilize maintenance-free valve-controlled sealed batteries (gel batteries) to store electrical energy. They employ ultra-bright LED lamps as light sources and are controlled by intelligent charge and discharge controllers. These lights are designed to replace traditional public electric street lighting.

FAQ:

Q: What causes the dead light phenomenon in solar street lights?
A: The dead light issue in solar street lights can stem from two main factors. Firstly, excessive leakage current may lead to PN junction failure, resulting in localized dead lights while the overall lamp continues to function. Secondly, disconnection of the internal control connection within the solar street light can halt the current flow through the LED, causing the entire lamp to fail.

Q: How can the dead light problem in solar street lights be prevented?

A: There are two effective ways to prevent dead lights in solar street lights:
Preventing Static Electricity: Static electricity poses a significant threat to LED lights, potentially causing damage or permanent failure. Grounding design during LED packaging production is crucial to avoid issues arising from static electricity. Human body static electricity, reaching about 3000V, can adversely affect LED chips.
Using Automatic Welding Equipment: Whenever possible, employing automatic welding equipment is advisable. In cases where manual welding is necessary, strict control over welding temperatures is essential. High temperatures, typically above 400 degrees during soldering iron use, can lead to dead light problems if not controlled properly during the welding process.

Q: Why is temperature control during welding critical in preventing dead lights in solar street lights?
A: The expansion coefficient of LED leads at high temperatures is significantly higher than the risk coefficient at approximately 150. This difference can cause the internal gold wire solder joints to pull apart due to thermal expansion and contraction, resulting in dead lights. Effective preventive measures by companies can significantly extend the lifespan of street lights.
