There are currently two main methods of waterproofing for LED line lights, one is glue filling waterproofing, the other is structural waterproofing, and the more streamlined one is glue filling waterproofing. The LED line light is fully glued and waterproof. The glue solidifies and covers the lamp bead components to isolate the contact with the external moisture and achieve the waterproof effect. Some methods are to put the lens on the chip and then pour the glue, which is also waterproof and does not need to be used. It will cause the color temperature of the chip to shift.

The method of structural waterproofing requires stricter requirements on the material, structure, and thickness of the lamp body. From the structural design, it is guaranteed that water will not enter the interior of the lamp body, so as to avoid the adverse effects of glue on the lamp beads and components. , but once the external structure of the linear light is damaged, it is easy to damage, so some people use both methods in combination.

LED line lights are more and more popular among people, whether it is advertising signs, cars, festivals, etc., LED line lights can be used. But LED line lights are also easy to break, so what details should we pay attention to when installing LED line lights?

1. Look at the label on the lamp. Generally, regular LED line light manufacturers will put a label on the lamp to indicate the specific parameters of the product before leaving the factory. We can use the label to see how many volts the line light uses. If there is no label, it can be judged by the number of lamp beads, resistance, capacitance and other components, and then test the lighting status of the lamp from low to high voltage. During this period, some electric measuring tools can be used to assist test. If the internal components of the lamp body cannot be seen clearly from the appearance, it is necessary to disassemble the lamp for inspection.

According to different color temperatures and the number of chips, the voltage of each LED lamp is different. It needs to be tested by a dedicated engineer or technician.
